A blaze of colonial colour
Every year, the millions of trees that shade the northeast corner of the USA signal the arrival of Fall with an explosion of red, purple and gold. As we journey from Manhattan Island to Boston and beautiful New England, you'll witness their splendour, framed against the still-blue skies.

Itinerary
Day One
Fly to New York and transfer by coach to your overnight hotel in New Jersey.
Day Two
Come with us to downtown Manhattan. Explore on your own, or join our tour of the "city that never sleeps". Marvel at the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, bustling Times Square and the green acres of Central Park. Walk down Wall Street, and look across the water to the Statue of Liberty.
This afternoon, we make our way north to Nantasket, close to Boston, for a three-night stay.
Day Three
Journey to one of America's most elegant, welcoming cities. Upon arrival, there's an opportunity to explore Boston's famous 'Freedom Trail' past the gold-domed State House and the Old North Church. Wander colourful Quincy Market and the Harborside parks and gardens.
Day Four
On today's optional excursion we'll head to Plymouth, where the Pilgrim Fathers landed in America. After a stop en route in Hyannis, on Cape Cod, to see the JFK Memorial, you'll be able to stroll Plymouth's historic streets, and explore the fascinating Plimoth Plantation, where staff in period costume re-enact events and life from a day in 1627.
Day Five
Yet more breathtaking sights await as you head north to the old seafaring town of Portsmouth, and then into the stunning New Hampshire Lakes' region, where fall colours are reflected and refined by the clear, mirror waters. We'll stop in North Conway, set in the beautiful White Mountains, your home for the next two nights.
Day Six
Spend day amid the stunning colours of the New England scenery as you soak up the beauty of this region of rolling, forested hills and quaint towns and villages, from the Kancamagus Highway. You'll also visit the Flume Gorge today, with its waterfalls and historic covered bridges at Franconia Notch.
Day Seven
Heading south again today we'll make a stop at the Yankee Candle Flagship store in Deerfield. browse the huge range of candles, Christmas and Halloween novelties and relax in the cafe before we continue to New York to board the flight home.
Day Eight
Arrive back home, after an overnight flight.
Further Information
The American arrivals process
British Citizens travelling to the USA now have to register online with US Immigration at least 72 hours before departure. We will send you the details you will need to complete your online registration, along with your tickets, about two weeks prior to travel. A charge of $14 per person applies to this process.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on any coach forming part of your holiday; regular stops will be made though for your comfort en route. The majority of hotels in North America are non-smoking throughout including in all bedrooms. In general smoking outside is acceptable, but do look out for signs prohibiting this close to public entrances or bus stops.
Tipping
Gratuities are a way of life in North America, and it is generally accepted that they form part of a person's earnings. Customary gratuity to a coach driver or tour manager is about $3 per person per day; in a taxi or a restaurant leave 12-15 per cent of the bill and, in the bar, leave a dollar or so per drink.
