The holiday of a lifetime
The 'Golden West' is at its most glittering in the make-believe worlds of Los Angeles's movie-capital-cum-sprawling-metropolis and the Nevada Desert's fabulous oasis of colour and opulence, Las Vegas. Discover them both on fun-packed holiday that also features one of the world's most truly breathtaking natural wonders - the awesome Grand Canyon.
Single rooms are available for a supplement
Fly to Los Angeles, Southern California, then transfer by coach to your overnight hotel.
Board the coach and head to Hollywood, home to the stars of the 'silver screen' and the centre of the movie-making industry. Journey into the Nevada Desert to Laughlin, known as 'Vegas in Miniature'.
A purpose-built resort town on the bank of the Colorado River, Laughlin has many amenities for you to enjoy. A riverside boardwalk connects hotels and restaurants, and leads to the resort's excellent shopping mall. The resort also offers a foretaste of Las Vegas' delights in its glitzy casinos.
An unforgettable day as you journey to the unbelievable abyss that is the Grand Canyon. An optional flight over the Canyon should certainly not be missed - choose between the light aircraft option and the thrill of a helicopter ride on which you'll swoop like an eagle into the canyon itself.
In the evening we'll continue to Las Vegas, your base for the next four nights.
Discover stunning, glittering, glorious Las Vegas, the world's most colourful entertainment centre. Nothing prepares you for the glitz, glamour and sheer scale of this monument to man's capacity for fun. Don't miss our optional Vegas by Night tour, which will reveal this unique place in all its colourful glory.
Spend your days at leisure in Las Vegas, or join our optional excursions. Return to the Grand Canyon, and enjoy a West Rim helicopter ride and visit to a cowboy ranch. Alternatively, stay firmly on the ground, and join our optional excursion to the engineering wonder that is the Hoover Dam, which holds back the waters of mighty, man-made Lake Mead.
Finally, mark the end of your stay in Vegas with our optional buffet dinner and 'The Rat Pack is Back' tribute show at the Plaza Hotel.
Return to the airport and check in for your flight home.
Arrive back home, after an overnight flight.

Smoking is not permitted on any coach forming part of your holiday; regular stops will be made though for your comfort en route. The majority of hotels in North America are non-smoking throughout including in all bedrooms. In general smoking outside is acceptable, but do look out for signs prohibiting this close to public entrances or bus stops.
Gratuities are a way of life in North America, and it is generally accepted that they form part of a person's earnings. Customary gratuity to a coach driver or tour manager is about $3 per person per day; in a taxi or a restaurant leave 12-15 per cent of the bill and, in the bar, leave a dollar or so per drink.
Local laws stipulate that that there must be at least one person aged 21 or over occupying each room booked. Casino floors cannot be entered by under 21s unless accompanied by an adult of over 21.
